Sean Daynard

Marine surveyor

Growing up in Sidney on Vancouver Island, with an ocean full of possibilities around him, was the start of his lifetime career. He could always be found in the woodworking and boatbuilding shop at the secondary school he attended. With a joinery qualification in hand he set out to conquer the world (or just part of it). After a few years of traveling using his skills as a joiner in homes and boats, he settled in New Zealand and began honing his skills in both the fine woodworking skills and boatbuilding. Upon receiving his New Zealand boatbuilding qualification, Sean new it was time to help people with his skills at the next level, so he gained a marine surveyor mentor and entered into surveying vessels. Constant improvements to his knowledge base has led Sean to an active enrolment with the Maritime Training Academy (UK) to achieve the diploma status, as well as having an interest towards gaining the applicable  credits with the ABYC and the IIMS.

Sean is looking forward to working and being apart of the Comox Valley community since moving back to Vancouver Island from New Zealand.
